Renewed my SD subscription and it is good until 2024. I had to reset my password in the process. New password works on the SD website every time (5-10x tries). I get the error in the subject when trying login into my SD from within EPG 123 (tried 10-15x times).
I updated EPG 123 and rebooted, but same error. Cleared cache as well.
Any help appreciated.

Install the latest version of epg123. You need at least 1.7.1.8 to be able to login to SD. Current version is 1.7.3.0 or 1.7.3.4 (beta).

I did install the latest and rebooted, but I guess it didn't take. I thought the GUI version in the log was different than the entire EPG 123 version. (My guess was that the GUI doesn't need to be updated as often.)
