... and here is the source of my deja vu. viewtopic.php?p=103064#p103064

This is a lesson in why it is important to provide good comments in your code. Especially when something is there that just doesn't seem right but is a workable solution to something else.

Yes, that' old thread's case is what I meant by "back again". The pictures in it are gone now and getting a screen cap off WMC is a PITA so I didn't post a new one. I mean there needs to be some spaces or carriage returns added to the to end of the episode description when someone uses the EPG option "Append episode desc with season and episode numbers" so that the appended text is separated from the description as that has reverted again to run-on text. I think you meant that too just wasn't sure if I followed your train in those last 3 messages, so followed up.

Yah, now that my memory is "fully" restored on this matter, this occurs when there is no short description in the data. When scrolling through the guide data, in the absence of a short description, WMC will show the long description which includes the appended season and episode text. In doing so, it will strip out the carriage returns making it a run-on text. I've added a space before the CRLF so that there will be separation once again, and have now included a comment in the code that it needs to be there.
