My gmail Forums category has been lit up for several days now with notifications from tgb / epg123 forum as I get notifications even though I no longer use WMC and have switched to Emby. As an early adopter of epg123 where we were still extracting a necessary dll from another location and assembling epg123 manually with no way to import scheduled recordings or adjust the guide or have logos or have a server client model allowing installation on several machines with just one doing the daily epg download from SchedulesDirect I know that @garyan2 is very committed to this project as long as there is interest in using it. I also know that many ignored using it for two years plus because their epg was free and they didn't want to pay $25 a YEAR for guide data. You guys saved that money so it is my opinion and mine only that maybe you ought to consider sending a few bucks Gary's way so he can get his kids an ice cream or maybe even take his wife out to dinner or pay a month or two of his domain name costs. He was here for you over the Holidays helping everyone get set up and I thought it would be nice to just pay it forward..

I was just thinking that we should have a dedicated thank you thread for Gary. Awesome that you posted this.
I'm so grateful that we can continue using WMC with updated Guide Data!
I"ve been using WMC for over 15 years and I still don't think there's any other solution that compares with the picture quality and flexibility with WMC+HTPC.
I"ve tried Playstation Vue, SlingTV, YouTube TV, SilconDust's TV app... none compare. PERIOD.

I'm wondering how many of us are left that are using CableCards/OTA with WMC?!? Are we talking 5,000? 10,000? 50,000? The market must be so small for this especially after New Years 2020.

Anyway, Gary, you're awesome and I'm grateful for your continued effort with keeping WMC alive.

Other than some extremely minor blips during set-up, EPG123 has been running flawlessly since our installations here. The guide updates have been without issue whatsoever.

EPG123 is a great software product, and it's obvious its developer cares quite a bit about his work!

Hi everyone, I just joined the forum and this is my first post. I have been a visitor here for many years now but I've never had the need to join or post because any issue or question I have ever had I've been able to find an answer here. I have been kicking around the idea of using EPG123 for quite some time but was afraid I'd fubar my WMC7 setup. Well with nothing much to lose at this point, yesterday I finally did it! Everything worked perfectly and I'm sorry I didn't do it sooner, what an improvement! I just had to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Gary and everyone who contributes to the forum. Today's agenda includes paying $25 to SD and making a generous donation to Gary as his efforts are so very much appreciated. I love getting free stuff just like everyone else, but considering the thousands of dollars I've saved over the years using WMC7 and Xbox 360 extenders in every room, I have no issues whatsoever making a donation and paying an extra ~$2 a month to keep it going!

So again, THANK YOU very much to Gary and also to The Green Button!! ❤

I couldn't agree more. Beyond the dedication to EPG123 itself, Gary's support is unparalleled. He always provides fast, detailed answers to questions (even when they're not about EPG123 <cough>). I donated a while back, and I'll do so again. A one-time amount doesn't seem sufficient.

Thanks again so VERY much Gary! Especially lately I think of you every morning when I turn on my TV via WMC and the healthy green icon pops up. Enter Covid 19. Your excellent reliable guide, the internet, my phone, and video conferencing are currently my only tools to stay informed and in contact with friends/family - and I'm sure I'm only one among a kazillion other self-quarantined, health compromised old farts who're trying to remain uninfected and somewhat sane as our very confusing current events continue to unfold. Stay HEALTHY!! (BTW, I donate annually - everyone should)
