HDHomerun App works everywhere except iPad

using the HDHOMERUN prime.
just notices that when I use the app on my iPad, it get color bars and screeching noises.
It is an older iPad, 5 years or so. , but my iPhone 6 works, as well as every other device like Xbox and PS3. - it stopped working last week circa 8/20

any help or suggestions out there for me?

You might want to post this on the Silicon Dust forums. This forum is mainly for WMC issues, and I'm not sure if there are many people here that use that app.

I have also used this free app a few times and it was excellent, but it does not support DRM/copy protected channels/content. I'm not sure if the HDHomerun app supports copy protected content for live TV, nor do I know if it has similar features to that app, as I've never used the HDHomerun app nor do I know anything about it.
