HDHR Connect Quatro - Force New Tuner for back-to-back episodes?

I'm not sure if this is a tuner issue or a WMC issue...

Connect Quatro has 4 tuners, and I have my options in WMC set to record all episodes of some series with a 3 minute "Start when possible" lead in and 3 minute "Stop when possible" lead out...

If episodes on the same channel are airing back to back at 2:00 and 2:30 - my expectation is that Tuner 1 would start at 1:57 and then end at 2:33, while tuner 2 which is available and therefore "possible" would start at 2:27 and end at 3:03... But what happens is it stays on the same tuner......cutting off recording 1 at 2:30 and then starting recording 2 at 2:30:04 and I lose a couple seconds between during the transition...

If I manually add the record times by Time and Channel it will work as expected switching to the other tuner at the requested time...but I let it go by Record Series it will not.

yeah, it's not a function of the tuner. It's a function of WMC. The tuner is just a dumb pipe.
