WMC play option for .wtv

I have a .wtv video file that I want to use WMC to play. For some reason sometimes these videos will play in wmp but with one channel of audio missing, where it will play fine in WMC. I have no option when I right click it for WMC. I try using browse to set it as an option in the list and it does not add. (I go to windows/ehome/ehshell.exe to do that). Also I believe there is a way to add videos to the library but I don’t know how to do that or I have errors. (it gives me an error of a component didn’t start and restarting WMC does not fix that). I could use some help with this all. Thanks.
