Thanks Gary, that got me past the Downloading TV Setup Data page, athough MCE was quite insistant that it needed to test my nonexistant 'dial up' login before proceeding! Was able to continue using 'stored setup data' and entered the manual setup of tuners page, and on hitting Next, MCE shuts down...

The quality on BBC News SD is awful/unwatchable.

Running cable card here and WMC for 11 years. Using Ceton tuner. I will never switch from Windows 7. Ceton tuner has network tuning/sharing ability for Windows 7 only. That locks me in to Windows 7 forever. Well as long EPG123 can update my guide.

.NET is direct from Microsoft. Although I think the EPG123 installer will download it if required.

It is EPG123. The GUI you login to Schedules Direct with and select what lineups and channels to download.

Every 5 days, along with the garbage collection, EPG123 will trigger WMC to create backups of its configurations. Those files are located at c:\programdata\microsoft\ehome\mcepgX-Y\backup in folders \lineup, \recordings, and \subscriptions.

Just for info: epg123 only checks tmdb if SD does not have movie coverart, and epg123 does not search for any Adult Only coverart from tmdb. I keep it as family friendly as I can.

Performance wise, there is a pretty big hit for large lineups on initial updates, but after that it is negligible....

Curious as to why that is needed, but to answer your question, that setting will have no impact on how epg123 works.

I'm suspicious the server may not actually be updated to the new programming.
I have a new PC which I have preserved several years and just set up on EPG123 a couple months ago.
It is showing the incorrect programming also after several refreshes.
I may just ignore that channel, besides I wouldn't...

Thank you - Configuration GUI - Clear Cache fix worked - update was successful - just to add how much I appreciate EPG123 - works great in the UK with both digital terrestrial and satellite.

After epg123 ran tonight both of my lineups were back to 17 days of guide data.

I did the restore again and my Series have returned!!!

This time, I saw the changes in EPG123 client after the restore, which I didn't before.

The guide listings were missing in WMC which I assume is expected...

I then did and EPG123 guide update, and it looks like everything is working now with...

Maybe... but to us Cessna pilots it's massively impressive.
