Careful, discussion of removing DRM is not allowed on this forum. (as opposed to discussion of exploiting the hole that exists for analog content that does not contain DRM).

I don't remember installing that. Just your WMC installer. Would running a windows update fix the issue? I turned off updates because they were messing up the WMC installation. I don't want to update unless I know for sure that it will be worth the trouble fixing everything.

I have fixed a couple of issues that had crept into in the WMC V13 x86 installer and uploaded a new file to Dropbox.

If you recently downloaded the file and are having problems getting it to work, please let me know.

It works now. I didn't do anything. I guess I am lucky.

After wrangling around with this, I put in an old GT 610 graphics card, let Windows install the driver. Same results. I powered down so I could button everything up and after the reboot, it all worked out on it's own.

It wasn't successful, cuz it did nothing...

If you are going to install 1511, it will update and break WMC. Search this forum for the stop updates script to ensure it doesn't update.

Your Avermedia device has 2 tuners, but for whatever reason, WMC can not use the first one. It is able to use the second one.

So yes, it can use the Avermedia device, just not both tuners. That is what the message is telling you.
