No Dolby Digital 5.1 on FOX

Is there a way to change the audio stream that is being used by the Xbox WMC extender? For some reason I am only getting Dolby Digital 2.0 on Fox and not 5.1 and all the voices sound muffled. I get 5.1 on other channels such as CBS.

I have a strange issue with a DMA2100 I found free it's got a strange quirk with the volume being to low when I use my Xbox 360 or a direct connection to the W7 machine I can set my tv volume to say 20 but with the DMA2100 I have to turn it up to 45 to get the same level of Audio with the same...
Last post
Not that this helps much, but it has to do with the source audio. When I record from our Dish with the standard RCA jacks my volume is normal i.e. 10 on the tv meter is loud enough. When I record HD OTA I have to crank the tv volume to at least 30 for the same volume level.

Hi All
New to the forum, but been using WMC for years and years.
I have no TV signal in a room in the house that I'd really like to put a TV in. From reading it looks like the best way to extend my existing WMC is an extender of the xbox 360 variety.
I don't have an xbox (only a PS3 that never gets...

My Linksys DMA2100s stopped working when Comcast moved to mpeg4. I've found that the Raspberry Pi running OSMC and adding Server WMC to the Media Center PC makes an acceptable substitute.
I am using an RPI 2. I also found it was necessary to purchase and install the RPI MPEG2 license for ~$3....

Sorry, didn't mean to sound negative but re-reading it came off that way. What I was trying to say was if you like the Pi you will love Android TV. The speed is amazing. Anyway I am still using a Win7 WMC machine via ServerWMC. Works really great and haven't seen a reason to switch yet.

Try setting your Xbox 360 to 1080p not 1080i.
I have 4 360's as extenders and they have always been set to 1080p, and never had any PQ problems. I believe the setting is for your TV's capability, not the broadcast signal.

Just wondering how many of you have no problem playing the new Cable TV format MPEG4 h.264?
Some say Echo and Xbox are unable to play protected Live TV that is broadcast in the new MPEG4 standard.
Apparently Live non protected plays fine.

^ I believe that the the Linksys extenders (possibly the hp one as well?) can handle MPEG4/h.264 content for video files, but not for TV.

Maybe not perfectly, but I deal with similar reliability just because the darn cable box only has a toggle on the power, not a separate power on/off code.
