How do you choose a SSD?

I am looking to get my first SSD and am not sure what is important to make sure I get. What features are must have and who makes a good budget minded model. Not looking for anything too big, just for the OS and what ever I need for WMC7 joy. From what I have read, there are several different ways...

As I know, the fastest SSD for PC is Kingston KC3000. But for games, as I know, the best one is Seagate Firecuda 530.
Sorry, I cringe anytime I see a seagate drive recommended for anything - so many bad drives from seagate that I’ll never purchase from them again.

I have a library of about 1200 movies that are almost all DVDs. Looking at the box label they seem to have a variety of frame rates that are used. Some play smoothly and others show a great deal of video jitter. I have frustrated myself trying various combinations of video card settings and I have...

You are probably experiencing a poor combination of the video's frame rate and your display's refresh rate. You either need your refresh rate to be evenly divisible by the movie's frame rate (ie: 24fps/144hz) or if you have the proper equipment, enable VRR (variable refresh rate) so your display...

My windows 7 MCE machine has been failing and I knew I would need to update it sometime. My last fix was to put in a new boot drive which fixed my hard drive not found issue but now the system is dumping out to the BSoD periodically. It's time. So taking quick inventory;

Replace Harmony with SofaBaton U1?

My Harmony 650 is on its last legs and since Logitech discontinued it the new ones in stock are expensive.
Has anyone tried replacing it with the SofaBaton U1? It seems like it can control TVs and receivers and issue keyboard commands through a Flirc so it should work.
Thanks

The Harmony should work if you have the MCE IR Receiver for it to aim at. The IR Blaster takes your remote signal and transmits it via wired sensors to the cable box so it can change channels.
