So, I had the setting show up origionally, but they disappeared after updating the firmware. I uninstalled the app from the PC and reinstalled it, but they still don't show up.
Any suggestions?
The Echo probably just needs to be restored, this same thing has happened to me. Just open a support...

Hello, I have a ticket open with Ceton but was wondering if anyone else has seen anything like I am seeing. I purchased several Echos and all 3 do the same thing but my 2 computers running Windows 7 Media center and My XBOX 360 working as an extender all work flawlessly.

Is my Echo DOA?

First post
Just got an Echo off of Amazon from Ceton for $99. It appears to be DOA. I plug in the HDMI, CAT5, and then the power. The Ceton logo lights up on the front, and.... nothing. The display shows no signal . Am I missing something? Do I need to press something, or is this DOA?
Last post
I just sent it back. Just a bad omen with all the issues reported and the fact that my first one is DOA. For now I'm using Mediabrowser on a Roku, but I'll go xbox360 if I have to. I'm just trying to avoid supporting Microsoft anymore.

I leave my Echo on. Sat down to watch, turned the TV on and all was well. Just as I was starting to maneuver through WMC with my remote, the wife bumped the other remote (MS Media Center universal remote, the older white one with the green button) funny in a way that turned the Echo off.

Ceton has maintained radio silence regarding the Echo. In my opinion, I don't think they have the resources to develop a product that can compete with Amazon Fire TV, Google Chromecast, Apple TV, and Roku.

Echo turns OFF after 3 Minutes

Not rebooting.
Turns OFF. Almost exactly 3 minutes. Did a support ticket and got the normal 'send a diagnostic'. Which I just did - while it was on... then two minutes later it turned it self off.
I'll bet the diagnostic won't show anything (because it was on and it's probably a hardware issue)....
Last post
Did that and rebooted. Then rebooted again. It worked after the second reboot.

It's generally wise to run single purpose devices like the Echo on their own VLANs. You can have your switch assign to the proper VLAN based on MAC address, and then either create an inter-VLAN route, or use a second NIC or a NIC that supports 802.1q tagging.
I have four VLANs at my place,...

Yes, yes, I know the echo is not supported on win 8, but the playback of recorded TV and live TV works pretty darn good. However while ff and rewind works ok the skip back / skip forward doesn't. I have tried the ceton remote and my media center and neither works.
Can anyone verify this is normal.

I don't remember exactly, but I do recall it being about the same as connecting to Win 7. It boots up, shows a code, and in WMC you enter the code. When connected, you get a splash screen on the Echo saying something about using MMC.
