A member of the Plex forums wrote a little proxy program that causes the Ceton cards to be recognized as an HDhomerun device. Go to and download the latest version. It works great.

I have been using my dual Ceton infiniTV 6 set up for a long time with no changes on Windows 7 x64 with EPG123. Everything has been working fine for years without issues until recently.
It looks like for ESPN and Science Channel (622), no programs show up when I try to tune the channel...

I noticed if I clicked set program a few times, eventually the program IDs would show up.
I ran the AllCetonSignals.hta script that rolls through all of the channels and reports their signal strength. This seems to have fixed the problem oddly enough.

You can't fix it. The Ceton cards have a crappy NVRAM chip. Once the chip fails, you cannot update the firmware any more. That is why they went out of business. Throw out the Ceton tuner and get a Silicondust HRHomeRun Prime.

So this started about 3 weeks ago and I assumed it was a problem with TWCNYC. I had them out and they checked their signal levels and said it's perfect. If I go directly from the cable line to Ceton Infinitv 6 I get about -5.5db and if I connect the Tuning Adapter I get -33db. I am at my wits end...

Very old post I know, but I wanted to show what fixed this issue for me and my Cisco TA.
I followed this link and by simply restarting the Cisco Tuning Adapter Service in Win 7, everything works again.
