I see lots of posts on the Ceton cards and see a prime user's thread but not much on the DCR-2650.
Mine works pretty well. I still have some random tuner not found or searching for tuners though which makes it really low on the WAF. I ended up rolling back to an older beta driver and it helps but...

Any tips advice/tweaks etc

I finally got round to replacing my old dual Teratec tuner with a TBS 6285, it was not a real necessity more a nice to have 4 tuners but I am, so far, very pleased, should have done it ages ago! I'm looking for a bit of help from the community. I'm an experienced MCE builder but had awful problems with disappearing tuners and the Blackgold 3620. My current line of thinking is that it could be motherboard related as I've read other Asus owners have had similar problems.

Keep in mind that the Connect doesn't work with Silicon Dust's own DVR software or Live Channels, should you ever decide to go that route. You need the more expensive Connect DUO for that. With the DUO, you wouldn't need a PC at all, only a streaming device and external storage.
