Can someone please explain how I would install a Comcast cable card into my windows 7 HP Media Center. Do I have to buy a specific card? Does Comcast give me a card which is then inserted into the PC card?

Hello,

I just purchased a new desktop computer from Dell with Windows 7 so that it would come with Media Center. I am looking at the possibility of removing my Hauppauge 1250 from my old tower and putting it in the new one. At first I didn't think I had the skills but I realized it is just a matter of...

Hi guys.
I've had an HTPC running Windows 7 Media Center for a couple of years now. I built it myself since I didn't want to have to deal with proprietary restrictions, as I'm sure many of you relate to, for upgrading and storing recordings on my own hardware. Even though using Windows does have...

I just swapped out my old HVR-1600 for a new HVR-2255 because the HVR-1600 wouldn't support clearQAM channels. I got the driver installed fine but two problems in Windows Media Center.
1. WMC isn't automatically finding my card. I have to manually select it.
2. WMC isn''t finding any clearQAM...

There's only 2 coaxial inputs on the 2250/2255. Unless you're including the S-Video port. On mine the FM input is the one closest to the S-Video port, and the TV input the outer/top port. They just might have changed it up on the 2255 though; as I mentioned mine is the 2250. It should be clearly...
