We've had a more-or-less stable WMC7 system for over twelve years now, but in the last week or so, a somewhat annoying issue has emerged.
Some background: The PC is on 24/7, but the TV set is turned off (with the remote) when nobody is watching it. When the TV is off, we'll leave WMC open but...

Sounds like it may be a bad HDMI/HDCP connection. I would suggest making sure the cable is securely connected at both ends just to make sure that is not the issue. I have swapped cable providers in the past and it did not affect being able to play the old DRM recordings. I don't believe you should have to mess with Playready at all after the cable swap, so don't reset it or anything like that which COULD cause you to not be able to play back old recordings.

I was able to also confirm that decreasing the value by 1 pixel resolved the issue for me, I exported the Registry key and trimmed it down so that it just updates the single needed value.
