Windows 8.1 support ends this week, but I turned off updates a little while back after one broke WMC. So I can't see much changing. Still using and enjoying WMC after eight years. My Win 8.1 PC is in the bedroom closet, and my husband and I mainly watch in the den with an Xbox 360.

I'm using version 1.7.1.12 of the EPG123 guide. It works great, with one exception. Every few days, like this morning for example, the daily update fails, citing the following from the trace log:

Fail to complete the automatic mapping of lineup stations to tuner
I had to do a reset of my WMC Setup. All went well- did not opt in to WMC guide- aand no Guide shown on home page.
Save and Eecuted my Subscribed Lineups. All went well until near the end when this error message appeared in red...

Issue fixed :-). I do not believe that The offending channel was identified. So, I opened the Client and then selected Client Setup and let it do it's thing. I ran WMC Setup again when asked- and BINGO everything fixed in about 20 minutes.

I have a fresh Windows 8 Release Preview install of MediaCenter. When I try to add a recording using the Search method I see this warning down in the lower right corner: SEARCH RESULTS MAY BE INCOMPLETE BECAUSE THE GUIDE LISTINGS ARE STILL BEING INDEXED

1. Figure out which PCI Slot you installed your tuner at. In my case it was PCI E Slot 4 by looking at my motherboard manual. You can also count it from the closesest to the furtherest from the CPU slot, closest being PCI E slot 1.
