I think I used this SDK back in the day but I'm now having problems adding it into Visual Studio. It might be because I haven't done any programming in 10+ years. Any help to get this working?

I'm not sure if its included with what I shared but there is also an Unofficial V7 of the SDK.
I have a file called MCML tools that is the setup for it but I think you need MSVS 2010. I also have V6 of the WMC SDK, and the vista version. I believe the MSVS 2008 I gave you had some additional...

While the WMC community might not consider SoftSled to be the holy grail it once was, I am very stubborn and don't want to let the dream go so I thought I would share my progress. :)
The original SoftSled project was available on the CodePlex Archives and already had the majority of the tedious...

Add a search function to recorded TV section how would I do it cheers
Last post
Within WMC, you can sort recorded TV alphabetically and then use the keyboard or remote (using the number pad to enter the corresponding letters) to search for a specific title. You can only search for the title of the show and it is anchored to the start of the title, for example you can type in...

For a while now I've been creating a tool to synchronise recording resume positions across multiple WMC machines (I have 4 WMC machines all sharing TV across the network and wanted to be able to pause a programme in one room and then resume in another, much like extenders offer). For the life of...

Pretty cool, I guess this means you can have multiple bookmarks for the same recording? Is this stored in the WMC database or in the video file itself?
It appears that you can have multiple bookmarks, though WMC only seems to care about the one (but I guess that opens the possibility for a...

Creating MSAS sinks in C# without using MediaState
by
jachin99 » Wed Apr 24, 2019 5:29 pm
Microsoft’s Window Media Center has a mechanism to notify you of events inside Media Center, called the Media State Aggregation Service (MSAS).
The Media Center SDK includes a .NET assembly called MediaState, which you can use to hook up C# to MSAS, however it is possible to build C# classes that...

Hello, I really don't know enough about programming as I wish and have been putting a lot of my free time on the weekends to try and understand and learn.

Seems this is completely possible and now I need a few free evenings to spend on figuring out how to accomplish this. I found a project called VMCController (Windows Media Center TCP/IP Controller) that provides this data, but the WayBack Machine doesn't have the downloads archived (shucks!).

I think this could be useful because the graphics in WMC are housed in reource files. You can view them by exporing the file with something like 7 zip.

That's for Win64. For Win32, it should be (untested):
