Hello,
So I am new here. I've been using WMC for a while but in the past few months I have been getting errors on some files. I'll be watching a video file and at some point it will stop and say cannot play file . If I play the same file in VLC or XBMC at that point where media centre stops, the...

Sounds like the files themselves may be your issue.
On my tools page is a software called Metafox.
It will extract the contents of most containers (m2ts, flv, avi etc) and place them, untouched, into an MKV container.
It will also extract from an existing MKV and create a new MKV using the...

Has anyone tried the nero 2014 and recoded a large WTV file? I know in 2012 it would crash. The goal is to send them to the nexus or ipad for viewing on the train in a fairly easy way (via a batch at night or something)?
Last post
If you have the space then you can play .wtv files on the nexus 7 with third party video players.
I use videoredo for converting so can't help with Nero, sorry.

I am trying to remux .MP4 files (H264 video and AAC audio) to .WTV so they will show up in the Recorded TV list in WMC. I have tried using ToDVRMS but it just hangs forever while creating the WTV file. If I just kill the conversion (after several hours) there is a WTV file of a reasonable size but...

Thanks. I did eventually figure out the problems I was having. I needed to add the -w and -v options to prevent ToDVRMS from hanging. As I recall it did convert AAC ok but the picture would occasionally freeze while the audio still played. Converting to AC3 with ffmpeg before the WTV conversion...

Yes. It is used for PS3 but it works for XBOX360 too. It's super simple to install and much less bloated than any of the other options (like Tversity, Orb, Mediahome) that I've tried. Here is the webpage. Norton360 indicated that the file is safe.
The settings I changed were:

Record something. Watch it. Watch it again.
If you get the same behaviour both times, the problem is probably with the tuner/your video signal.
If you get different behavior, it's probably an issue with the audio drivers.
By same behaviour , I mean exactly the same drop outs at exactly the...
