Any of you guys and ladies know of a way to see if a recording is being made in a batch file?

Thanks for the reply. All I was trying to do was improve my sleep shortcut so that it didn't chop off a recording. Using one of the tips in the huge post I've now managed to do this. The only thing I struggled with was not realising the shortcut had to run as an Admin.
Thanks for the help

BACKGROUND:
I'm currently using Windows 7 Media Center. It works fine. It's still the best DVR I've ever used, but my WMC7 PC has been getting a little laggy lately. It's running on fairly modern hardware that was refreshed in 2013 or 2014. Please don't go off on a tangent about hardware and...

I just wanted to share a very happy discovery I made today. It's always annoyed me that (at least on Windows 7), the Recorded TV folder(s) are treated specially, and if you change the view of them in Windows Explorer (AKA File Explorer in Win8/10), e.g. to use the Details view, and perhaps display...

Plex as a replacement for WMC?

I just saw news that Plex can do Live TV/DVR now. Given that you can run the Plex server on Windows 10 (unlike WMC), and the Plex client runs on anything (including XBOX), could this be a replacement for those of us that use WMC with XBOX 360 extenders to our TV's?
Thoughts?

I'd be curious if anyone has moved from WMC to Plex. I'm entirely OTA with an HDHR, so DRM isn't an issue.
