I have recently started to remove the splitters from my coax network since I am running the Cat wiring now. In doing so I have made my signals equal to
Signal Strength = 5 dBmV
Quality Strength = 38dB
(This info is from the SDHomeRun WebPage)
I have the only splitter now coming off into the cable...

Were you experiencing a problem that was supposed to be fixed by the beta firmware? That is the only reason to ever use a beta firmware. As you discovered, you cannot downgrade.
The signal strength should be as close to zero as possible, but +/-7dB is good. The signal quality should be 35dB or...

Can anyone confirm which functionality would be broken if I were to get FIOS DVRs for this month when NOT using their router as the primary until I get the port-forwarding configured? (I have the FIOS Actiontec router configured to act like a dumb MoCA bridge). Are the ethernet ports active on the...

**Split topic from guide data thread.
I don't think the Ethernet ports on the FiOS boxes are activated. You can use the FiOS router as a dummy MoCA bridge. Your FiOS boxes will be able to pull guide data, as long as they have an IP on your local LAN.

Stupid Comcast doesn't support it?!?!? Now I find out they don't support Roku either. Seriously wtf. It's making me consider switching to DirectTV. I assume DTV lets you do the whole cablecard + ceton + echo + HTPC thing I've been doing with Comcast. Is it worth considering?
