Xbox 360 Interlaced TV

I have set up my Xbox 360 as an extender to my windows 7 media center. Everything works fine except the interlaced channels look like hell on my TV. Jagged lines everywhere. I set the XBOX to 1080i as the output but it doesn't seem like the video is being passed to my TV as interlaced content as the TV appears to be doing nothing to de-interlace the video. What gives?

I apologize for responding to your question with more questions, but since no one else replied, it's pretty safe to assume that nobody else sees anything like this. I have not seen jaggies in a while myself - except for when I watch some older converted mpeg2 home made DVD content from my movie library on VLC. So, if you can fill us in with some more info like...
1) Is your content source ATSC OTA or cable (which provider)?
2) Is the content actual HD source (16x9 1080i HD) or some older video program that is being processed and rebroadcast in HD?
3) What is your Xbox to TV connection (component or HDMI)?
4) Have you/can you connect the TV directly to the HTPC - getting the extender out of the "loop" - do you still see jagged lines?

Source is an HD Homerun Prime with cablecard (Fios). The content are 1080i HD channels, the 720p channels have no issue being displayed. The connection to my tv is via HDMI and is set to 1080i. I've tried 1080p and there is no difference. The HTPC is connected to my projector in my basement. The projector output looks great, no jagged lines there, only via the extender on my TV.

Try setting your Xbox 360 to 1080p not 1080i.

I have 4 360's as extenders and they have always been set to 1080p, and never had any PQ problems. I believe the setting is for your TV's capability, not the broadcast signal.
