If you get the correct version of WMC, you don't need a key.

What is the complete name (all the numbers too) of the file you installed WMC from?

Download the Cablecard adviser tool

Skip over Tuner setup, go into WMC after installing the above and run it. Once approved and it setup on your PC with the key etc.

Also, when your setting up WMC tuners, Right click on it and run as an Administrator. Had this issue on the early builds.
