Harmony 200

Hi guys

Wondering if anyone has used a harmony 200 on media entre duties
Seen the 300i and have a 680 but the 680 is on it's last legs and wanted so something that I did not have to change the batteries every couple of weeks so was figuring that without the screen it might not eat juice.
Got kids now so although I like the H1 I not sure I want to try and drop it onto wooden floor from the arm rest like I have done a thousand times with the 680

All I have is the amp tv and media centre

Just expect to press 1 button and they all turn on

Is this possible with the 200?
Looking at the pics the buttons look slightly more modern that the 300 ( maybe I am wrong as I have not picked one up just gone with the pics from the harmony website)

Its really cheap at £20

Well, the 300 can't turn them all on with one button, so....

Otherwise, the 300 can do everything you need. Once you've turned everything on, you leave it set for the Media Center key. You've told it to use the amp for volume, so that's punch-through.

Can't speak for the 200. Never heard of it.

Aha. It's a simpler 300.

Why you want the 300 instead: the 30 sec forward/7 sec back buttons that the 200 doesn't have.

2 corrections for Adam:

1. Both the 300 and the 200 can turn on all 4/3 of its devices at once. That's what the "Watch TV" button in the upper left corner does. It's the one and only activity button you get with either of these remotes.
2. Every button on the harmony remotes can be programmed. So the lack of the skip buttons may not be a problem. You can program the << and >> buttons with those functions instead of their normal functions.

Here's what you lose with the 200: 1 device, 5 favorite channel buttons, the live TV button, and the 2 skip buttons. Looking at the pictures, I may buy one of these, but I'd like to find the measurements. I have the 300i (and I previously had the 300), but I have small thumbs and I always have to shift the remote in my hand to get to the buttons I use most (placing the remote comfortably in my hand gets me the D-pad and DVR buttons, but I can't reach the menu/exit/info/guide buttons without sliding the remote down in my hand. My solution was to switch some of the button functions). The pics look like the 200 might be smaller, so maybe it will work a little better with my small hands.

Yes, I had forgotten about the Watch TV button. Other than that, the 300 (and 200) is not a typical Harmony.

Yes, you *can* reprogram FF and REW with other functions, but then you'd lose FF and REW.
