Windows 7 Home Premium, Hauppauge 950Q-72001 OTA tuner, Lenovo Q180.
Works great EXCEPT:
From time to time
Recording cannot find shows to record (future listings are fine)
Select TV->Live TV instantly reverts to Recorded TV
Unplugging and replugging the tuner does NOT help BUT
Closing and reopening WMC does fix the problem for a day or two.
Then it strikes again. Any suggestions? Is this a known problem?

A tech from Hauppauge has suggested that the problem stems from Windows trying to save power on LAPTOPS (WTF??) by shutting off "rarely-used" USB ports (such as the OTA tuner???). There is an option to control this FEETURE. Jared Egan said: "Try disabling usb selective suspend.

Gomberg again, well I turned off usb selective suspend and the problem has appeared to go away. At this point I would recommend that fix to anyone with a similar lost tuner problem. More info at http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/14 ... n-off.html
