I'm unable to record any Thursday or Sunday night football games. I receive this error:
Recording cancelled
Sunday night football cannot be recorded. restrictions set by the broadcaster and/or originator of the content prohibit recording of this program.
Any ideas why ?

The CCI flag or CGMS-A flag was erroneously set to "copy never".

I've been having this same problem every Sunday (Northern Virginia FiOS). It records fine on my FiOS DVR. If it's happening every week it can't be an accident. Any solution?

Any resolution here? I have the same problem. I have futzed around with playready to see if I could update something. No luck.
Also had a terrible time with the Olympics - that only sometimes worked. Same place, northern VA FIOS.

The solution, if you have an HDHR Prime, is to update to the latest firmware release.
For Ceton, there is a pre-beta release that solves the problem.
For other CableCard devices, I don't know the answer, but it may also be to make sure you have the latest firmware/drivers installed.
You haven't indicated what CableCard device you are using, so it might help if you did so so that others in the know can help.

I had a problem a few weeks back where WMC wouldn't allow a certain channel to record. Turned out for some unknown reason the channel got flagged as "copy never". Re-ran a channel scan using the HDHR setup utility and that cleared the flag, I was then able to record on that channel.
