Unable to access HDHomerun after last Windows 8.1 update

After the last windows 8.1 update

I am not able to access the hdhomerun tuner. In when I use the hd homerun setup it hangs when it is looking for he tuner. Something is blocking it

Anyone know what it might be. I can access it on the web page.

I had the same problem.
I reinstalled the latest hd homerun drivers and did a repair in the homerun setup app.

But my guide data is also messed up.
It says I only have 3 days of data, I download the data, success, ... only 3 days of guide data.
WTF????

The problem is fixed with a workaround.

I had to enable search on public networks. Not just private.

Where did you find this in the settings? I am not seeing anything like that in mine. I have the same or similar problem.
