I have been experiencing the network error every so often. I'll be watching one channel just fine than change channels and it pops up every so often. The picture will slightly stutter and or pixelate and then be fine for 5-10 mins and repeat again.
I have tried the jumbo frames as mentioned in previous forum discussions but that does not seem to do anything.
Everything is hardwired with Cat 6. I have a TL-SG3216 16 port gigabit managed switch that both my computer and xbox is connected to.
My PC is 3.51 Ghz AMD FX-6300 six core processor with 16GB of RAM. I have a Ceton InfiniTV 6 tuner and an ATI Radeon HD 4770 for a video card.
Cable is Time Warner with the cisco STA1520 tuning adapter.
Any suggestions or insight are more than welcome!

Take a look at Task Manager when you change channels. If your recording drive (where WMC creates your files and where your live TV buffer is located) hits near 100% utilization during your glitches, you may need a new drive, a better i/o interface, or to make more space available on it.

Thanks Steveo! I'll attempt to replicate the issue now. If not I'll have to wait to for the issue to rear its head and check the task manager.

I get those too, and I know the network is fine. It is just a catch all error for the extender, I believe. My guess is that whenever either CPU or the HDD are busy, and can't keep up with the stream, you get those errors.

That is what it appears to be. I'm thinking that the temp file for the pause buffer does not clear it self out when I change channels perhaps?
