I tried do a restore point which successfully restored windows to 4/07/2015 12:00 am, BUT channel 3.1 is still gone and 3.12 does not work.
I resetup all the channels and it always finds a nonexistant 3.12 while ignoring 3.1 which is the real WTKR.
3.12 has all the program data which should be showing up at 3.1 which WMC does not display. Regarding '3.12' there is no 3.12 channel in our area. Our Zip Code is 23608
I was able to manually scan for new channels and get a 3.1 to watch but it has no program data, been like this now for several days.
I would like WMC to show us 3.1 with the program guide and be able to watch 3.1 like before, so what do I do?
One fine day, we went to watch channel 3.1 and it was gone away, and WMC guide was showing a 3.12 with the guide data of 3.1 which when you try to watch 3.12, wmc says no signal.
It just did this all by itself.
Would deleting uninstalling WMC and reinstalling and resetting up the channels fix this as suggested here?

I guess if no one responds, I will try that. And if that does not work I guess I will reinstall windows 7?
Adding more info, I just went back and looked at the TV, WMC is now showing guide data for 3.1, and and also 3.12 as the same data, however I cant watch 3.1 or 3.12 now because it says I am recording 13.1 which is true. BUT I can switch channels and watch 10.1, 10.2 15.1 33.1, etc..., all except 3.1 and 3.12 which it claims is in conflict. It has a triangle sign and an exclamation mark on 3.1, because 3.1 is supposed to be recording a show but WMC can do it.See I have two tuners in the PC, so obviously it can watch other channels, except it can not watch 3.1 or 3.12
I went ahead and disabled 3.12, so it not longer is appearing in the guide.
wtkr 3.1 became wtkr 3.12 and WMC says no signal

I turned off WMC in programs and features, then I deleted the files in ehome folder.
I then reenabled WMC and redid the setup again.
WMC again comes up with this bogus 3.12 channel.
So I then do a manual scan, 3.1 appears with no program data.
I can watch 3.1 TV, but of course with no data there won't be any automated recording, and that was the channel we recorded most of our shows, figures.
Since WIMC doing the automated setup discovers a bogus 3.12, I think some one who programs the guide data screwed up a keypad entry. Then when I do a manual scan 3.1 appears, so the channel does work.
here is a picture showing the guide of the bogus 3.12 and 3.1 manually scan adds in with no data.

well, somehow I managed to make it work.
I went in to edit channels edit sources edit listings and there was a combine setting which combined the listings for channel 3.12 into channel 3.1 and then did not show 3.12 in the guide. So now 3.12 went away and 3.1 has the guide data.
I noticed in the edit listings that channel 3.12 was using frequency 18.1 ???
Channel 3.1, 3.2 uses frequency 40.1 and 40.2
If someone typing in the WMC guide data messed up a keystroke, then when they fix the guide, I imagine the channel combine wil fail and I will have to wipe WMC and start over again.
I will mark it solved, even though it is a kluge, not genuine, it is a fake deceptive fix.
I would edit my earlier post, but dont see the option now.
IF I could have edited the frequency for channel 3.12 to use 40.1 instead of 18,1, and renamed to 3,1, then I think it would have worked.

Interesting .. I will have to remember that one.. it seems like a strange situation that only fighting WMC can get it to work
Thanks for updating on how you fixed it.
