Hi - i am experiencing loss of image on sd and hd
i am running 50megabits download internet speed
with Windows 8.1 WMC PRO
HD HomeRun Prime
streaming either directly on a laptop or Xbox 360 on both is distorted.
i have tried to utilize settings in WMC however I just want to figure out how to make my images better....

It could be many things including signal strength and network packet loss. Check your cabling and connections and you may want to post your signal readings/numbers. You can run a test for network packet loss per the instructions on this page...

What network are you using inside your house? Is it wireless or hardwired? From what I remember, you should have at least 100mb between your Prime and your PC/laptop. Anything less will cause problems like this.
