Email should arrive automatically assuming you have a normal address. If not, I'll make sure you get it when i get hone from work. Guide functions will be back working again with the next version. I'm just trying to add more to the upcoming package before the next release.

Hi, I donated last night but the link in the email I received doesn't resolve to a valid Web page. How can I get a copy of the software? Thanks.

Hi Markryger. I made a donation back on September 25th 2011. I was sent the full version of 2. Now I can not remember what my email was but it could have been sjlaw@cogeco.ca. Is there any way you can verify? I would like to get the 2.30 from you please as I just upgraded to Windows 8 and my current 2.0.0.7 will not run.
Please let me know and thanks.

I am going to be rebuilding my system soon, is there a way to preserve the logos that I manually had to assign?

Copy your logos from C:\programdata\mychannellogos\logos\custom on the old computer into a new folder on your desktop. Next rename each logo- add “_c” to the end of each logo name. (You can do this automatically with a program like spacetornado renamer) Then, install MCL on your new computer. Open MCL and have it download whatever logos it does automatically. Then copy the renamed logos from your old computer to C:\programdata\mychannellogos\logos\color. Then go into MCL and click Autopopulate.AnthonyB wrote:I am going to be rebuilding my system soon, is there a way to preserve the logos that I manually had to assign?

Just out of curiosity, what does the "_c" do?

_c usually indicates a color picture. By default, the priority is to match _c logos first. So this just ensures they get matched.

What I'd really like to see is a way to prefer icons lacking the "HD" label over ones that have it, the reasons being the "HD" text tends to take up half the icon area, often reducing the logo size by half, and it conveys no useful information to me. I've done this icon by icon ever since I started using the program. It would also be great to show all the matching icons when choosing one by hand. Right now, I have to go back and forth between the color and B&W folders in the file system and actually load the icons. (Explorer may normally show icons in the file selector; I don't know, because I turn off all such features for several reasons. In any case, one would still have to flip back and forth between folders, losing one's place every time.)

Using non-HD logos is a pretty reasonable request... I'll have to think about the best way to implement this.

By default use non HD type logos - thus one set for SD/HD logos and then a third folder group (aside from b&w/color) for HD logos and a checkbox 'use HD type logos' in settings.makryger wrote:Using non-HD logos is a pretty reasonable request... That's just my opinion.

And showing all the matching icons for a channel at the bottom of the "logos" page with drag and drop to override the default choice would be great.

Yeah the gui shouldn't be that difficult, but id need to modify the underlying matching algorithm and database. Over got some ideas.

Bought MCL2 this weekend and I've had fun playing with this excellent product. Thanks! Part of the fun has been creating logos for the local network affiliates and I have an email out just a few minutes ago to submit them. I have only color versions, not B&W so I hope that's ok.
