HTPC Specs:
I have had a 4k LG tv for many years I use with WMC. Rather than fighting with drivers/WMC etc. I know I may be losing some HDR/UHD benefits but I find I get completely (to me) acceptable results by running desktop/WMC at 1080p and letting the TV upscale.
