How to record a program from the beginning

Hi,

Sometimes i see something on tv and think he thats nice i want to record it for my wife or kids.
So i can rewind the live tv but how can i record it then.
If i press record i lose everything and it start recording from that moment.

I hope there is a solution or a thirth party solution

Many of us have been asking for this for about 10 years. So far no solution, even a 3rd party one (meaning this will never happen). I really miss this feature too, having come from DirecTV and Dish myself. I've gotten in the habit of picking Info - Other Showings to record the next one.

There was a 3rd party app back in the XP and Vista days, but 7MC changed things and stopped it working.
