SAD NEWS: pcmediacenter.com.au closing down

#1

Unfortunately for us Media Center enthusiasts still left Down under, our fantastic media center forum is closing down. Hopefully the moderators here will open a section for Australia and the members that are now homeless and wandering the web searching for a new home can be welcomed to the GreenButton as we were years ago before we had pcmediacenter.com.au.

Oh that is sad indeed. I go there sometimes. I'm sure we can set something up. HB will be up soon and I'm sure will comment.

That is sad... great resource for guide hacking, especially.

OMG!

I've posted on there from time to time and always received a warm welcome, even if one of my aims was to let folks know where to find us here.

Its a sad day, I hope that there will be a way to keep the user provided hints and tips etc... unlike the vast amount that was lost when tgb.com was shut down?

We can certainly host any content that was previously there if needed?

I'm sure we can set up an antipodean area - we already have an international section for non US threads.

A warm welcome to all .au folks :)

It's too bad that some of the info there can't be meshed into this site in the international section.. I hate to see all the sites with the best tips/workarounds going away. Well I guess this will be the last support community left for WMC. (That I know of).. Hopefully some of the Australian community joins the ranks here.

I have asked the site owner if there is any content that he could possibly let us have.

I went to Made for Media Center recently looking for an RSS reader and it appears to be defunct too :(

Seems to be working now. Maybe it was just temporary.
