Does the HDHR Prime require a strong signal?
I had the prime over a year ago and switched to ceton because I have really bad signal quality for cable at my house. When I had the prime, I can never seem to watch the popular channels during peak hours. For example, every Sunday the signal for the channel for NFL on the basic channels will always drop out due to weak signal. The cable company already said I need a signal booster, but I can't install it due to property issue of my own. The ceton pci-e card I got to replace the prime works well even with the poor signal, but I want to switch back to the prime now because of how simple the setup is. Does anyone know if the prime can handle poor signal quality better now? Maybe an update improved it or something. I know it's a long shot but hoping maybe someone had the same experience as me before and it works better now.

Yup, -24 is pretty bad, I'd be surprised if anything works. 0, "ZERO", is what you want to shoot for.

I live in a condo and the signal booster requires drilling thru the wall from the outside patio.

OK, it's not as bad as I thought. Somewhere in that condo there is one line coming in to the bldg. Usually this line will have your strongest signal. Can you get to it? or is it covered over with drywall?

Yea, I can get to it. It's more like a townhome than a condo. Thanks for the help though. I'm just going to stick with the ceton for now.Crash2009 wrote:OK, it's not as bad as I thought.
