J'ai deja trouvé que microsoft était informé sur le site connect.microsoft.com. Il faut venir est ajouter vos commentaire pour dire que c'est un probleme grave (lien au-dessus).
Done

Great! You guys get much better service than we do here in the USA where our ticket still says active and has no response from the Connect team after two months.

So as an update to my problems with WMC2005 on a Sony XP 32bit box:
My EPG downloads fail nightly with 33, and my manual downloads fail with error 33 - but I seem to be getting new SDF files every couple days in the EPG folder, only the guide can't open them?

EPG setup still fails with error 14. I have the ips from this thread in my hosts file and I have google 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as the dns on that machine. Internet works fine. Clock is set.

Anybody have any ideas? Is it maybe a DLL issue maybe but can't find where to register them and which ones in this post. Can I attempt to open the sdf files with SQL server?

:) any help would be welcome as I'm stuck with this for a few weeks until I can even consider upgrading the machine to 7 as there is a ton of software to convert old vhs to dvd that I have to finish with.

I'm thinking that MS has stopped supporting us (MCE2005 users) since XP is no longer supported. I'm going on today to complain to MS since it's rendered my 3 media center extenders useless with no guide.

I am able to coax two weeks of a guide out of the system (see my post on page 23 of this thread), but it expires on 12/1 which is tomorrow and I can't seem to get more guide data. I'm hoping that after the expiration of the guide data that there will be a new data file. If so, I'll post more about it, otherwise my fix really only gave me two extra weeks.

Don't really want to move "up" to 7 since I had a great setup.

Back on Page 23 of this thread I have how I tricked the guide into downloading 2 weeks of guide info using an old EPG file from a 2002 MCE machine.

Is anyone experiencing issues with their Guide recently? My guide is empty except for one channel. I have tried forcing an update which appears to have completed successfully but still no guide data.

Anyone else get a guide update in the last 3 days? No errors in logs, just the package is "up to date". 10 days of guide data here.

Same here with Guide End Date 31 December 2014 using jasonl's 22 September hosts file fix. Went back to the original hosts file and got the same result.

Confirmed. Verizon FiOS zip 21093 (central Maryland).

Contributor Glorp noted in late October that the date modified on file C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\Packages\EpgListings\EpgListing.enc is the last date Microsoft actually completed an update. Mine is showing Dec 18, 2014 @ 10:11PM. Glorp also pointed out updates sometimes mysteriously stop over weekends but are almost always fixed by the following Monday or Tuesday. We should keep an eye on this and open a Connect bug report if the number drops below 8. It is a little concerning this has occurred at the beginning of what is frequently an extended holiday for many corporate workers ...

Least I'm not alone then. Since this started before weekend, looked like the beginning of MS' seemingly annual Christmas gift of guide update outages at year end, experienced for at least the last 2 or 3 years it seems.

Same here, updates complete without error, but it looks like the Microsoft server has stopped creating new updates.

Looking this folder:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\Packages\EpgListings

I see from the modified date on the EpgListing-#.enc file that the last time it was updated was 12/18/2014 at 9:10 PM ET

If I understand this correctly, that means the last time Microsoft successfully generated a new update was on that date. Since I only have data up until 12/31 and 12/31 is 13 days after 12/18, it checks out.

Has someone contacted Microsoft?

Anyone having guide data issues should report it to Microsoft Customer Service. Here is the message from Microsoft from the last time we had data guide data issues:

http://www.thegreenbutton.tv/forums/vie ... 788#p72788

It isn't clear to me how to notify Microsoft Customer Service from the link provided in that message... Does anyone know the proper way to report this to Microsoft Customer Service?

EDIT:

The "Help from Microsoft" link eventually lets you initiate a "Chat with Answer Desk". I am not sure if this is what should be done or not...

Automatic update seems to have had loaded new data as I saw shows listed in the "scheduled" list through January2nd. The grid, however, only went to January 1st, 1am.

I see stuff like this happen frequently though, and after exiting and restarting the WMC GUI I now see data in the grid up to January 4th.

Looks like the problem has been resolved, for now at least...
