Auto Switch Audio output

#1

Post by d3mon187 » Sun Jul 27, 2014 4:55 pm

I just upgraded from 7MC, and I'm trying to regain the ability to automatically switch the default audio output when Media Center launches. I redownloaded Audio Render Updater, but the plugin doesn't work and crashes when MC launches. I saw a recommendation for CheVolume, but that crashed MC when I changed outputs. Does anyone have any working solutions for Windows 8.1 that are completely automatic? Thanks

Well it can't be the most efficient way, but I created a python program that checks every 3 seconds to see if wmc is launched, and if it is, it uses https://github.com/aifdsc/AudioChanger to switch the default audio, and then switches back when wmc closes. It was a huge pain and requires a lot of manual work to tailor to your system, but if someone REALLY wants a walk through I can post it up. Would love to here any easier options if anyone has them.
