Navigating through my videos and pictures is excruciatingly slow. I believe this is because I have added folders from an NAS drive to my libraries.
Whenever I navigate to my Pictures or Video libraries, I notice that my Ethernet connections starts receiving data at between 5 and 200 Mbps and continues even though no media are playing at the time.
In other words, it is constantly receiving data from the NAS while nothing is playing. But as I said, my problem is that it takes it a long time to navigate from one video to the next one in the list. It seems to get faster after it sits for awhile.
Does anyone know of a way I can speed things up?

My guess is that it's building a database of all the files on the NAS. Leave it alone and it should finish in a while. Also, if you don't have Windows installed on an SSD, you might want to consider doing so.
