"How-to" books on System 7 Media Center????

Can anyone recommend a basic "How To Do It Book" (Dummies type of book) on Windows Media Center FOR SYSTEM 7?
Am specifically interested in setting up and operating the DVR function aboard a new Dell XPS 15 laptop using Direct TV satellite input.

I've never heard of System 7 Media Center. Are you talking about Windows Media Center?

Using DirectTV as a source is entirely possible. However you won't be able to do it without some additional hardware. You'll need either a Hauppauge HDPVR or Colossus device. Sine you are using a note book you'll have no choice but use an HDPVR. You cable it to the Component output of the DirecTV reciever and feed it to Media Center either through Hauppauges native drivers or use the DVBLink products.

You have lots of reading to do.
