Extender recommendations needed

I am looking for an extender. I have added a new TV to a guest bedroom, the room is already wired with Ethernet. Most of my movies are MKV, so that leaves the xbox360 out of the question, right? What are my other options?

My Xbox 360 and Echoes work fine with most of my MKVs.

You could also re-container the mkv's so the Xbox will play all of them (with full transport control). See this thread for details:

.m2ts is what I created for all my h.264 content and they play fine everywhere.
