Sad news tonight. A great innovator and a legacy. He's a big reason we have the gadgets we have in our homes, be they Apple devices or not.

I hope his spirit lives on inside of Apples' development of their products for many years to come.

Your lips to God's ears--Tim Cook will need all the help he can get.

The next 18 months will define how history writes the book on Cook. There's no coasting, not even time to take a deep breath. It's a pivotal moment as Amazon actively goes after making the tablet market its own. Amazon is the only one who possibly could upset the iPad cart, and right now would be a good time to have Jobs at the helm. If Cook manages to deflect the Amazon freight train, then we'll know he's got what it takes.
