Well, it probably doesn't play copy once content and the interface doesn't look very good, but a least it has a cablecard slot!

Are you sure that's a cablecard slot and not just a CI slot for Europe?

Not sure. I got the cablecard from the article on techhive.com about this box which mentions cablecard. It also might be my incessant searching for anything that can possibly replace WMC entirely

For instance, the Nintendo fusion rumors have been saying cablecard slot as well. I'm not getting my hopes up though that it will do anything close to what we're all looking for.

However, that's not to say they don't have something in the works for CableCard support as well. Something to keep an eye on possibly...* CAM Module and smart card are not provided by VBox, V@Home supports standard Pay-TV CI module.
