My Media Center play to ~> XBMC (ServerWMC / PVR WMC Add-On)

I started using XBMC full time thanks to the awesome ServerWMC back end / PVR WMC Add-on. It's like SoftSled on steroids now.

The good thing is Ceton My Media Center app still let's me setup new recordings etc. (since MCE continues to run normal in the background, just never used as the front end any more)

Would you guys be able to add support so I can still start playing a show? (but send it to XBMC instead of Media Center)

You could make it an option to choose if we want to playback to start in Media Center or XBMC as a toggle or setting etc.

Do you use serverwmc with remotepotato? I can't seem to get these two to play well together or else I would be 100% of the time using xbmc, rather than just for playback of all my dvd and recorded content. For live TV I'm still stuck with WMC.

I have remote potato up and running but never use it. I haven't tried it since upgrading to XBMC. I don't see why it wouldn't work though? It's not like the front end WMC needs to be open for it to work. Remote Potato doesn't support live tv does it?

I use StreamToMe to watch Recorded TV shows when mobile. (full native .wtv support)

If I "need" to watch a live tv news channel or something I can always set a channel to record via My Media Center app.

Another option is to use MCEbuddy, the latest FEB 2014 Beta 15 build has FULL .WTV support and converts via built in various profiles. I use it to just cut commercials and leave the "WTV Unprocessed" with no remuxing

If you start a recording with WMC you can play it back in about 2 minutes via remotepotato.

Sounds like I need to upgrade MCEBuddy as I'm running an old version to change my vids to .mp4
