I don't know if there are any other Green Button members who are still running one of the Sony VGX-XL series of HTPCs. But if so, you may like to check out this site I recently stumbled across which is dedicated to upgrading and maintaining these machines.
One of the great projects the site has produced is a modified BIOS which adds support for quad core processors. Well worth a look:
