Movie metadata and artwork in WMC?

#1

Post by houghton19 » Sat Feb 15, 2014 4:18 pm

Hi guys, I have always been a XBMC user, but have noticed that since adding a tv tuner WMC is a nicer interface for live tv, but its a pain swapping from 1 to the other, is there any skins / ways to get all my movie data, covers and film description in WMC?

looked in the WIKI but it didnt really have much there.

Thanks

Tim.

You can use the native "Movie" library built in to Media Center. You will need YAMMM to pull in the metadata:

and you will also have to add your video types using the .reg files here:

Or just use MediaBrowser Classic and a MediaBrowser server.

I strongly recommend Media Browser 3 Server & Media Browser Classic (the WMC add-in). You can completely customize the WMC interface and you can access the server in a web browser to view your entire library and play back content within the browser.

There are some good screen caps in this thread..

Take a look at My Movies 4 too. It handles all metadata for Movies and TV Shows very nicely. 1080p backdrops, covers, cast and crew... very slick!
