Why? WMC works with a remote just fine.

I had something like this years ago. I've also tried a gyro mouse app on my phone. All are kind of interesting but really awkward to use. If you've ever used a Wii-mote, you'll know what I'm talking about. Good accuracy is hard to achieve. These things have a small group of fans, but I'll take a touchpad any day of the week. The one on my phone works beautifully.

I've used a Gyration Air Mouse for years.

Couldn't live without it for surfing from the couch. Largely unneccesary if you live entirely within WMC. But indispensable for the 10 foot desktop experience.

I agree about the touchpad. The Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 is a really good choice. It's the perfect size for using on your lap while you're sitting on the couch.

I've used a gyration remote for five years now, and continue to buy them off ebay despite them not being made anymore. The mouse function is great on the remote and very natural imo. Indispensable when I'm out of the regular wmc interface.
