Remote Skip broken in Win/Android Apps

#1

Post by AndyS » Tue Nov 19, 2013 1:52 am

Using the Win 8 and Android apps, I cannot get my skip buttons to work. I think this has gone on for a couple of versions of the PC configuration tool. I was on a version from several months ago, then recently updated My Media Center Configuration to 13.10.20.0199, then the beta 13.10.28.1275. While skipped worked before, on these versions it no longer does.

The other transport controls in the apps seem fine.

Are you referring to the 30 second skip? I will attempt to repro later today or tomorrow.

Yes, 30 second forward, 10 second back.

Used to work fine, and all I did was update the PC version.

I have the same problem. I reported this issue in another thread on Nov. 4th (My Media Center (13.10.20.199) Update Issue With Phone App) but your title is better. It's also affected my wife's IPhone and my Windows Phone 8X. I contacted Michael at Ceton via email. This problem is reproducible on my machine. I tried the Beta which caused another problem "port forward not properly configured" I reverted back to Ver. 13.2.26.1062 and all is good. Just waiting for them to fix the glitch.

Skip is probably my most used thing on the remote, so this is a significant impact to how I use it. Hope they fix it soon.

Michael from Ceton sent me a link to a beta update that fixed the problem so all is good on the home front.
