Hopefully I can explain this well. I use two HDHomerun Primes, they're connected to tuning adapters . Everything works fine when tunes that use MPEG 2. But when i tune to a channel thats MPEG 4 and then go to a channel thats MPEG 2. The screen is black but I can hear the audio.
Another odd twist this only happens to the "switched" channels. If I tune to a non switched channel that uses MPEG 2, its just fine. This also happens on my HTPC, extenders, and desktop. Anyone else experience this?
MPEG 2 channels black screen, after MPEG 4 channel tuned.

As it turned out, the OP in that thread had a similar but different problem, but what I described has been confirmed by at least one other Prime user before you, and a Ceton user came by later in that thread and confirmed he also is experiencing it.
