XBOX 360 Universal Remote (Old)

So I recently built a new htpc and have run into some issues. I picked up a used XBOX 360 Universal Media Remote (white) for my Windows 7 Media Center computer. I have the remote setup to control my TV and edited the registry to use my remote. The only thing that does NOT work is the channel changing (and tv guide paging) button. Is there any way to get that working?

Are you sure it isn't in TV mode?

In TV mode or not, it doesn't do anything. In Tv mode the TV button on the remote is red (all other buttons are green) so it's easy to tell.
