Extenders can't connect

#1

Post by lithium630 » Mon Sep 12, 2011 11:55 pm

Periodically my extenders have trouble connecting. This just started happening. I have 3 xbox's and two linksys extenders. All of them will fail to connect. The only way to get them to work is to reboot. (which really sucked tonight during the patriots opening game). I'm due for a reinstall anyway but just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. Is so how was it fixed.

When the connection failure occurs, is the "Windows Media Extender Service" started on the main system?

I skimmed through the services and I don't believe it was running. I'll double check next time it happens. I don't know why it would stop.

I've been having this same thing happen for about the last month. Haven't had any issues the previous year or so.

lithium630: Did you ever make any progress on this?

I'll check the for the service the next time I fire up the extender.
