Just read the following link:
http://www.engadget.com/2011/09/08/wind ... all-power/
In it, it says Win 8 will come with Hyper V for all. I remember reading about hyper v and the potential for it as well as it's ability to mimic the desktop with very smooth graphics and sound....
So the ultimate question is, with this could a low power machine with win 8 also hyper v into a Windows 8 HTPC and run Media Center? This would be even better than softsled since it would enable all MC features and not just the extender limitations we live with... Is this crazy?

Oops. I feel stupid. I just realized I was thinking about that other technology they mentioned which was a remote desktop of sorts and not a virtualization platform. Oh well, this is still cool and worthy of a post I guess.

Yeah Hyper V is just for support of VMs your thinking of Remote FX which is used in conjunction w/ Hyper V which allows you to use audio/video processing on the host machine of RDP.
